We have been active in the Palmovka Synagogue as a cultural society for a couple of years. We are continuing the more than 30 years of efforts (Serpens) to open the synagogue to the public. The synagogue is rarely used for its intended religious purposes, therefore, we think it is essential to preserve the continuity of the symbolic perception of the synagogue as a meeting place.

The overarching aim is to preserve a living memory in the shape of a cultural monument, as a memento of the vanished jewish kehila and its members.
