Zavřete oči. Cítíte to? Žádný písek mezi prsty, a přesto máte pocit, že jste na pláži a čas tu plyne o něco pomaleji. Tráva pod nohama je vlhká jako po přílivu, vzduchem se nese vůně čerstvé zeleně a odněkud se ozývá tiché šumění. Je to potok Rokytka? Nebo jen řeka, která teče o pár ulic dál a jejíž hlas sem občas dolehne? Šustění v křoví? Nad vámi nestíní palmy, ale lípy – i přesto vám to připomíná dovolenou…  

Přineste si s sebou na naši Pláž 𖧧 vlastní ručník, sluchátka a brýle. Pro ty, kteří nemají přístup k internetu, budou na místě mp3 přehrávače. 

billionpalms je dlouhodobý projekt tvořený sochařkou Terezou Tecl Brussmannovou a architektem Vojtěchem Teclem. Zaměřuje se hlavně na sochařský nábytek a další užitné předměty. Projekt billionpalms vznikl v roce 2020 na Palmovce, kde Tereza s Vojtou spolu žili, pracovali a čerpali inspiraci pro svou tvorbu. 

Jonáš Balcar je absolventem Centra audiovizuálních studií na FAMU (CAS). Ve své umělecké praxi se věnuje hudební a zvukové tvorbě, kterou zasazuje do galerijních instalací, performativních situací i narativních forem. 

Palm Beach 𖧧

Close your eyes. Can you feel it? Even though there is no sand scratching the skin between your toes, it feels like you are at the beach and time flows a little slower. The grass beneath your feet is damp as if from the tide, the air carries the scent of fresh greenery, and from somewhere comes a quiet rustling. Is it the Rokytka stream? Or just the river flowing a few streets away, its voice occasionally reaching you here? A rustling in the bushes? Above you, it's not palm trees casting shade, but lindens – and yet it still feels like a vacation…

We are inviting you to listen in to a sonic intervention of the artist Jonáš Balcar, who explored and researched the environments of Palmovka alongside the artist and architect Savka Marenić and will arrange his field recordings into a new musical composition. The intervention also entails the sculptural furnishings of billionpalms — a collaboration of the sculptor Tereza Tecl Brussmanová and the architect Vojtěch Tecl.

Come to our Beach 𖧧 with your own towel, headphones, and sunglasses. For those, who do not have access to the internet, there will be mp3 players and headphones available.

billionpalms is a long-term project of Tereza Tecl Brussmanová, a sculptor, and Vojtěch Tecl, an architect, focusing on sculptural furniture and other objects of everyday use. 

Jonáš Balcar is a graduate of CAS FAMU. His artistic practice focuses on musical and sonic compositions, presented in the context of gallery installations, performative situations, and narrative forms.
